General Roulette Game Rules
Roulette is played at the table with the specially invented wheel and number chart called the roulette table layout. The numbered area consists of 12 columns of number spaces ( for placing the inside bets) and other sections for different kinds of roulette bets. The roulette wheel has equal number of numbered cells (36) and extra 0 ( zero) in French or European version of the game and 00 section (double zero) in American variant of roulette. The numbered spaces on the number chart are marked in black and red, whilst zero spaces are green. In addition, the sections alternate between black and red as well as odd and even numbers. The numbers pattern on the wheel was created by the group of roulette creators and today such design is regarded as a standard. A special white ball and multicolored chips for each roulette player are used in the roulette game. It must be underlined that European (French) and American roulettes are almost the same cause the roulette game rules and objectives do not differ sharply, the main striking difference is the usage of double zero section on the wheel and numbered area.
Roulette game rules are extremely easy to understand. At first the gamblers make bets by putting their chips on the table cells. All players have option to make inside bets (on one or several chosen numbers) or outside bets (on a grouping of numbered cells). The dealer or croupier spins the wheel and sets the ivory ball on the outer track of the roulette wheel. Whilst the roulette wheel slows down the players can finish placing bets. According to the roulette game rules it is banned to place more bets once the croupier says “No more bets!” Then the roulette ball lands on one number section and the winner is indicated.
